It’s not about “fixing” bad dogs — it’s about understanding why certain behaviours happen and helping your dog feel safe, confident, and calm again. Whether it’s fear, frustration, or confusion, we work on changing your dog’s emotions, not just their actions.
Absolutely. Behaviour modification isn’t only for aggression. Many of my clients come to me for anxiety, fear of strangers, separation struggles, or general overwhelm. If your dog is stressed, scared, or “on edge,” this kind of training can really help.
That depends on your dog and your consistency at home. Sometimes you’ll notice small shifts within a few sessions — other times it’s a slower, steadier process. We’re working with emotions, not robots, so patience and consistency pay off big.
Behaviour modification is a team effort. I’ll guide you step-by-step and give you the tools to practice at home. The goal isn’t just a better-behaved dog, it’s a better relationship between you and your dog. However, there will be times when it is beneficial for your dog for me to take your dog out separately once the basics have been covered.
That’s actually very common! Dogs don’t generalise well, so what they learn in one environment doesn’t automatically transfer to others. I’ll help you teach your dog to stay calm and focused even when the world feels a bit too exciting.
Never! Dogs are capable of learning at any age. Older dogs may just need a gentler pace and a bit more patience, but they absolutely can (and do!) learn new ways to feel and respond.
Message me. We’ll sort out a time to chat about your dog’s history, daily life, and goals, then create a personalised plan to get you both moving in the right direction. No judgment, no quick fixes, just understanding and support.
